Anna Hess






Anna Hess is a French artist and editor. She is a member of Speech and What Archive since its inception in 2009.

Speech and What Archive is a group of professional and emerging artists, curators and art historians who work together to make material a level of trust between people by delivering speech, conversations, lectures, telepathy, elixirs, songs, music and spells. Speech and What Archive is like a model audience that speaks and acts to connect with a wider public to find what is already present and what-we-dont-know-together.
The group includes Étienne Bernard, Marie Gautier, Clémence de Montgolfier, Guillaume Pavageau, Sébastien Pluot, Matthew Rana, Fabrice Reymond, Michele Robecchi, Yann Sérandour, Fabien Vallos and was initiated by A Constructed World (Geoff Lowe and Jacqui Riva). Members are based in Sweden, United Kingdom and France.


Speech and What Archive has participated in events and exhibitions in art venues including Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers, Paris (2013), FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, Reims (2012), the Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne (2012), TCB Gallery, Melbourne (2012), Cneai, Chatou (2012), La Ferme du Buisson, Noisiel (2011), Café Pompier, Bordeaux (2011), Sculpture International Rotterdam (2011), Biennale de Belleville, Paris (2010), Y3K Gallery, Melbourne (2010).
